Corrolytics Named Winner at the 2024 Burton D. Morgan Foundation Startup Shpwcase Pitch Competition
We’re thrilled to share that Corrolytics took home the top prize at the 2024 Burton D. Morgan Foundation Startup Pitch Competition, hosted at Bounce Innovation Hub in Akron, Ohio!
This competitive pitch event brought together high-impact startups from across the region, highlighting the innovative work being done at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and entrepreneurship. Our team was honored to showcase Corrolytics’ groundbreaking electrochemical technology, which enables near real-time detection of microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC)—a silent but costly threat to industrial infrastructure globally.
With $1 trillion in annual damage caused by corrosion, industries have long relied on reactive and inefficient detection methods. Corrolytics is changing that. Our patented platform empowers operators in energy, maritime, and critical infrastructure sectors to detect and differentiate MIC on-site, reduce unnecessary chemical use, extend asset lifespans, and eliminate downtime costs—up to $1.5 million per day.
Winning this competition not only validates the market need and innovation behind our solution, but also accelerates our mission to bring corrosion intelligence to the frontlines of asset management worldwide.
We are grateful to the Burton D. Morgan Foundation, Bounce Innovation Hub, and the incredible judges and mentors for recognizing our work. Special thanks to the organizers for creating such a dynamic platform for startups to connect, grow, and thrive.
