Principal Scientist & Co-Founder

Sai Prasanna Chinthala, Principal Scientist, is working at Corrolytics via a National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I subaward at Cleveland State University.

While participating in the NSF I-Corps cohort for the Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC) Test Kit, Chinthala served as a team co-entrepreneurial lead.

She has Master’s and Undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and has a background in reinforcement corrosion, microbial corrosion, and electrochemistry. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University and has presented her work on corrosion in conferences such as American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) International.

Prior to coming to the USA, she worked at two major nuclear research facilities in India – The Department of Atomic Energy Nuclear Fuel Complex and Bhabha Atomic Research Center.

During her internship she worked on designing heat exchange reactors and the optimization of uranium leaching from ores.
